This is the sole responsibility of the Friedhöfe Wien GmbH. Malte Böcker cannot "secure" a gravesite where the relatives of somebody else are buried. Minona's crypt has been bought by her relatives and I can assure you that that the futile plan to have her bones examined is very much in progress.Michael Lorenzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04248014539227254368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6705638937146105675.post-44616580723908867762022-07-09T17:16:31.183+02:002022-07-09T17:16:31.183+02:00Dear Dr. Lorenz,

How can it happen to a noble woman in an official cemetery. Thank you for clarifying the matter.

You just recently wrote that you have learned that the right to use Minona von Stackelberg's grave was acquired by alleged relatives.
I found before a Rita Steblin interview with Daniel Adam Maltz, 2019, where Steblin says about Minona’s grave: „I had heard that the grave site was up for sale. And, of course, what would happen to the bones? They'd be gone forever. So, I contacted the health agency, the Gesundheitsamt – they're responsible for grave sites and found out what I could. And just recently the business manager of the Beethoven House in Bonn, Malte Böcker, wanted to have all of my correspondence with this Gesundheitsamt […]. And then other people told me it's not possible to determine fatherhood from such old bones but, Malte Böcker, the business head at the Beethoven House in Bonn, wrote me just recently an email saying, ‘I'd like to let you know that I have secured Minona's gravesite and nothing will happen to her bones.’ ”

I wonder if we have to worry about Minona’s grave, or can she rest in peace?

uszakhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04818891295964258725noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6705638937146105675.post-62368095240398405172021-03-12T09:44:26.180+01:002021-03-12T09:44:26.180+01:00Thanks for sharing this knowledgeable information....Thanks for sharing this knowledgeable information.
Autopsy
Postmortem Mesothelioma DiagnosisAutopsy Post Services, Inc.https://www.blogger.com/profile/09926431239502448336noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6705638937146105675.post-8921427698439631112021-01-04T13:28:22.882+01:002021-01-04T13:28:22.882+01:00Thanks for the quick reply! I don't know what happened to the remains of the O'Donnell couple and the tombstone. Since the families of Count Attems-Heiligenkreuz and Count Spannocchi were related to the O'Donnell family, they perhaps initiated a transfer of the remains to a private crypt.Michael Lorenzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04248014539227254368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6705638937146105675.post-42529487493999831652021-01-04T11:23:55.509+01:002021-01-04T11:23:55.509+01:00This comment has been removed by the author.Michael Lorenzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04248014539227254368noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6705638937146105675.post-48037008837399295572021-01-04T01:33:57.304+01:002021-01-04T01:33:57.304+01:00Thank you for this excellent forensic research. I ...Thank you for this excellent forensic research. I live nearby in Alsergrund, and lately visited Schubertpark, showing my family the headstones of Beethoven and Schubert, and noting an O'Donnell connection somehow (in the back of my mind), namely, that the tomb of Johann Graf O'Donnell von Tyrconnell (1762-1828) and his wife Caroline Gräfin Clary-Aldringen, lay between Beethoven and Schubert. As it was a "stiftungsgrab" it was to be preserved. Do you know where their remains were removed-to, and where the tombstone monument is now? In Zentralsfriedhof, or the crypt of St. Gertrud's Pfarrekirche, or the Gräberhain? Many thanksFrancis M. I'm glad to learn Josephine and Minona had happier endings than is commonly known.

Most great men of that time had illegitimate progeny.Seems plausible Minona could have been Beethoven's, but I imagine that his nephew would have told the girl to run the other way.

Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6705638937146105675.post-78515091986336230022020-09-04T09:57:12.580+02:002020-09-04T09:57:12.580+02:00Minona's remains are surely there, but paterna...Minona's remains are surely there, but paternal mitochondrial DNA isn't. If someone open that tomb and do the DNA analysis, I hope it will not turn out to be a circus like it was in the case of Mozart's skull. Hopefully, if done, be serious, and that could really end one of the great legends around Beethoven.
